This June 28 at 10am, the C & C will be from Tom Fletcher. Fletcher joined the U.S. Coast Guard in June of 1965. He served aboard the USCG Cutter Wachusett, and was initially stationed in Seattle, Washington. The Wachusett later deployed to Vietnam to provide gunfire support, smuggler interdiction, and serve as mother ship for dozens of Navy swift boats conducting river patrols. Tom will talk about this often
(unfortunately) overlooked, but important role of the Coast Guard during the war.
