On August 23 at 10am– Terry Barnhart and Michael Keuthen will speak about the Battle of Oberkirchen, fought in Germany in April of 1945. Terry has spent many years researching his father’s role as an infantryman in the 9th Infantry Division fighting in the Ruhr Pocket during the closing months of WWII in Europe. Michael was born 1960 in the Ruhr area in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. He served two years in the German armed forces (Bundeswehr) and then studied forestry. Michael assisted Terry in his research of the Battle of Oberkirchen, leading the two to become known as the “War History Brothers.”
